About us
The Association of Students´ of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology was established in 1950´s. The modern history of the Association begins from 1989, when it was reopend.
We are an independent organization open for all students from Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology. The highest authority is the General Aassembly, that elects officials and heads of comittees. Things that involve more specialized engagement are performed by particular sections of the Association (club Greeen, International committee, Lef magazine, Cynology guild and Hunter’s guild). Our organization supports also Buglers playing hunting music.
We organize and participate in many different events taking place the wole academic year. The Association is a long time member of an international organization called IFSA (International Forestry Student’s Association) and with it’s support we run forestry competitions (Forestry Versatility) or provide foreign interships for our students. Further, the Assocition organizes Ball of the Faculty, what is an annual high standard social event for students, alumni and teachers of the faculty, we run student’s club Green and publish the magazine LEF.
Our unsubstitutional task is also in standing for interests and opinions of all students of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, Mendel Univerzity of Agriculture and Forestry (MUAF) in Brno.
A member of our Association can be every student of the Faculty, that will attend the General Assembly and will show his interest in the membership.
For our long term functioning we are bound to a great support from the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology and of course our sponzors, that are giving us a great support in events organized by our Association.
